The American wheel adds a second zero but pays the same, so you pay about double for the same game. French rules with La Partage return half of an even money bet when the ball lands on zero, which halves the edge on those bets. Not every table offers it, so check the game info panel. Every row above has the same 2.70% house edge on a single zero wheel. A higher payout does not make a bet better value, it only makes wins rarer and bigger. When the ball lands on zero, outside bets lose, which is exactly why red or black wins only 48.65% of the time and not 50%.
